  1.    The Tamper program requires an IBM-compatible computer with a hard disk,
  2. one megabyte of memory, a VGA monitor, and MS-DOS version 3.0 or later.
  3.    To install Tamper, insert distribution disk 1 into a floppy disk drive.
  4. From any DOS prompt (or from "RUN" in Microsoft Windows), type:

  6.                     A:INSTALL   and then press <Enter>.
  7.  
  8.    If you are using drive B instead of A, type B:INSTALL and press <Enter>.
  9. Then follow the instructions that appear on your screen.
  10.    To run the Tamper program, first change to the directory where the files
  11. were installed. From that directory, run the program by typing:
  12.  
  13.                     TAMPER      and then press <Enter>.
  14.  
  15.    To run Tamper from within Microsoft Windows, configure the command line
  16. with the directory containing the Tamper files, such as:
  17.  
  18.                     C:\TAMPER\TAMPER
  19.  
  20.    Once the Tamper program starts, you can access on-line help at any time
  21. by simply pressing the <F1> key.
  22.    For further assistance on installing Tamper and getting started, view the
  23. file GETSTART.DOC. To do so, type:   VIEW GETSTART.DOC   and press <Enter>.
